True Friends Forever Posted by Picasa

True Friends

True friends are there for you wherever they are and whenever you need them. They are sincere from their heart with no benefit or envy. They always want the good for you and they are there for support, advice and help.

That’s why they are rare and usually few. Moreover, I noticed that most true friendships rose either during long study years or neighborhood.

This year I am the luckiest to have 23 new true friends they are everywhere and they are caring, recommending and sometime criticizing (which is needed) from their heart full of good intention. They are my classmates (shown above in the picture).

For Catherine, Maria, Margarida, Teresa, Fabio, Klaus, Francisco, Florian, Georg, Robert, Manuel, Surya, Sam, A. Jader, A. Lagny, Feargal, alberto, Luc, Rienold, Felipe, Vittorio, Rikarudo and Antonio : GOD BLESS YOU all my friends.

It’s strange but what I felt after staying two weeks with those wonderful people that I know them long time ago and I think that everyone felt the same feeling. One more thing is that there is many good signs since we gathered like 3 of the group have new babies and the fourth is one her way (we are all praying for you Teresa), many have moved to a better place or a new job or waiting to (Vittorio: you got your first 23 customers, just do a decent discount – 90% is fair)

I would like also to remember at this moment my true long term outstanding friends, Tamer , Bermawi, Sherbini, alaa, Wael, Rasha, Lotfy, Hatem and more and more.

Another friend in need for support is Hayfa (an ex-Pfizer collegue from Lebanon), she moved to Canada and trying to start her carrier as a pharmacist their. Hayoofa, may Allah be by your side and all your wishes come true.

To all of you I mentioned and I forgot to, THANK YOU.

Tarek

What a Horrible Day!!

Yesterday was really a very bad day. In the morning, everyone was shocked by the bombing in London and what had risen after it from fear and panic not only for British people and London residents but also for everyone who had a similar experience, for example our friends in Madrid and New York. Moreover, it touched everyone who suffered such an insecure feeling for unjustified reasons like Iraqi invasion to Kuwait in 1990 where I know many stories, being living in Kuwait for the last 10 years, one of them is so close to me…my wife where she attended that period as she was living here with her father.
I passed personally with such feelings in Cairo, Egypt when I was young at the time of school and university where there were always a tension between police and extremists and witnessed many incidences where I felt the same feeling.

Later yesterday, the tragedy started to rise by reported bombing attempts in Budapest, and then a boat in Philippines went under fire with 200 people on board, followed by Hurricane Dennis hitting the coasts of the US. Finally, the worst ever, is the killing of Egypt’s envoy to Iraq, captured five days ago in the first of a series of strikes on diplomats.

Well, after all these events, I remember John Lennon and started to shout:

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE

I can’t believe I am Here

One of my lifetime dreams was to start my MBA. My dearm came true last June 20 (one my 35th birthday) when I started my MBA at the prestigious Instiuto de Empresa in Madrid, Spain.

While the program really matchs my criteria of choice, as I mentioned in early posts, i was a worried….afraid to some extent. I was telling to myself what I feel is natural especially when you going to a mew experience like this.

It took me only 5 minutes to get rid of all my worries and fears and I get to know a real professinal poeple. First one to know and most impressive is Carmen with her charming smile and everlasting support although she always seems having a cold. Then, Manuel: so friendly and so sharp at the same time and with a great ability to let you accept anything he says and never get angry with him. Last but not least, Gama: a man with a heart of a child, so innocent and so smart. The three are creating the deam team to manage the tough, busy and extraordinary intenational executive MBA program.

But what is really amazing: my classmates in general and my working group A in particular.
It was strange enough even to all professors to see how the 24 students are so close in circumistances, personalities and dreams even if they came from different places, different backgrounds and different cultures. The human being is the human being every where any time.

This spirit if felt is the fuel that will help me to continue my MBA and finish it properly.

More to come about this everlasting, lifetime experience in my future posts.

Bye for now,

Tarek
