My Astrology Report !!!
May 27, 2008, 11:11 am

I received this email from astrology.com:

Dear Tarek,

On Monday, May 26, Mercury, the planet of communication turns retrograde in changeable Gemini, sending communications and travel plans into confusion. Adding to this cosmic chaos, Neptune, the planet of truth and lies, also turns retrograde on the very same day! Your logical and rational mind will turn into a mush of confusion, forgetfulness and will most likely be totally spaced out. Travel might be disrupted and be subject to monumental delays. Flights might get cancelled, luggage lost, connections missed. You have the inside scoop, so be prepared!

Neptune rules dreams and ideals. This is a great time to use meditation to reach your spiritual center. Neptune is also the planet of exposure and uncovers lies, fraud and deception. During this retrograde, which lasts until November 1, all kinds of secrets might be uncovered and put into the spotlight. The truth will be out!

In general, Mercury rules thinking and perception, processing and disseminating of information and all means of communication and transportation. Mercury turns retrograde three times a year, but the effects

of each period differ, according to the sign in which it happens. The focus for this retrograde period, which will end June on 19, is on communications since Gemini is directly ruled by Mercury.

So you better be ready for my bad mood and changing personality in the coming days :-)

AYA MEDANY آية مدني

I admit I never knew this name until yesterday when I read in the news that this wonderful Egyptian young lady had topped the international ranking in Pentathlon, a sport rarely heard about in this part of the world because soccer is dominating almost 95% of the coverages.

Aya Medany was born in 1988, though she achieved an amazing number of victories and titles, driving in the envy of every Egyptian athlete. The 19-year-old Aya never stopped dreaming, or taking part in every fascinating Pentathlon championship until she’s established her renowned reputation.

Medany started her long journey in 1999 when she was only 11. She achieved at such age the 15th rank in the Junior European Pentathlon Championships, in Poland. By then, Aya could attract attention the still green but growing talent of hers.

And she kept improving with time, advancing from one rank to a better one, and in 2003 she placed second in the Africa Open Pentathlon Championships, scoring the very same year old in the Cadets World Pentathlon Championships, in Mexico.

Last September 16 in Beijing and After a massive day of competition,  Aya has taken out the title of World Cup champion in the “Good Luck Beijing” Olympic test event. With less than a year to go until the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Aya put on a fantastic display, across all five disciplines, and she was rewarded with a qualification position for next year’s Olympics. I hope that she gets what she will put the coming Olympic medal as a jewel in her crown of achievements.

Aya is a new athletic star that shines the Global sky of sports. She is an icon to all the young people who wants to do something, who want to change the current present and sail to a promsing future.

Disappointment

The results of the Kuwaiti elections are really disappointing. All the conflicts and questioning members are re-elected, on the other hand, no woman managed to pass to the house of omma although more than 55% of the voters are women !!

I came across some TV interviews and analysis but what was really pointing out is a question by Abu Dhabi TV presenter to one Kuwaiti female activist, he said if you say that the results are disappointing so why did these results happened? if the people really wanted the change, why did they vote for the same people again? why did people vote for the families, religions and ethnics not for Kuwait?

I really have no clue, do you have any?

Tarek

P.S.  One of the member’s first announcement after being elected is calling for a new prime minister !!! do you think that both the powers, house of omma and cabinet, will survive for long?

Changes in Kuwait

Just now, Kuwaiti nationals finished voting to choose their new Representatives in the house of common ” Al Omma House” in the new basis of 5 election centers instead of 25. The new centers is of completely different demographics than the previous system making it a very positive change agent as most of reporters expect an average of 40% change in the representatives elected.

This was accomplished by a sad news of Father Amir, Shaikh Saad Al Abdulla, passing away last Tuesday night. The man was a beloved leader with unforgettable actions from all people living here both nationals and expats.

I really wish that all these events will lead to a real change in the political, economical and social standards here in Kuwait in a way to push this small country to the high level it deserves in this part of the world.

Tomorrow we will know who was elected, then I will surely have some comments to share with you,

Tell then,

Tarek

Hard Time

I’ve been silent for a long time. I know it’s bad but it was really hard time that even if had so many ideas and events that I wanted to comment on or share with you but I couldn’t.

I discovered you have to be mentally well prepared to put your thoughts on a paper, or e-paper I guess. Now I feel I can talk and comment on many things. The first thing might be, i f anyone noticed this year, that almost all the religious feasts came more or less at the same time like Christmas around al Hajj (Muslims pilgrimage), all the new years and other events as well. Is this a message to everybody that we should let the religion and ethnicities aside from all our wars and debates and believe from inside each and every one of us that we are all humans, we are all the same from inside. This recalls a wonderful song for the legendary Luis Armstrong “Black and Blue” if you know it.

But it seems no one read the message or for those who got it they ignored it because we still see all over the planet most of the wars, fights and other forms of disagreements. Last, but not least, what is happing to the beautiful country of LEBANON. What I can recall here is Elton John’s words “it’s sad so sad, it’s a sad sad situation” and the title of this song seems to summarize it all “sorry seems to be the hardest word”.

Then, I guess that those horrible natural disasters from earthquakes to hurricanes, including Hurricane Sabeeka here in Kuwait as described by an excellent Kuwait blog: Kuwaitism, is a sign for those who are wise and can see how we deviated from what we need to do to humanity and to our earth and planet in general.

Is it the best time to think of changes?? Can’t wait for November to see a new American president J

More thoughts to come,

Tarek
