As you can see above, these are the official final full scores with ranking for the top ten in the women modern pentathlon competition held yesterday in Beijing. Aya ranked eighth unfortunately.
What I want to say to her that I personally feel that she did her best to well represent herself and her country and I think her results are satisfactory considering the bright future she can have if she kept on with the same enthusiasm, persistence and competence. Aya: you are still young and this participation surely added a lot to you experiences. You have to learn from your mistakes and work on the weakness. If you do so, I am sure yu can CHANGE the current ranking and a medal for your in London 2012 can be guaranteed.
Just keep on Aya and hard luck for this time, we are all behind you.

Today is the pentathlon competition for women that I have been waiting for for long time. Aya Medany and Omnia Fakhry are there. Uptill now, 4 of the 5 compositions are done. Aya did well in the first three but missed in the fourth, Riding Show Jumping. Now it’s her final chance if she wants to get one of the medals. She is ranked 8 when the Women’s Running 3000m competition will start after a while.
Wish you all the best AYA…. RUN to your medal.

First let me show my admiration to Al Maktoum Family. Not only it’s lead by Sheik Mohammed, one of the best Arab Leaders in the modern history, but this family always surprises us day by day. Today, taekwondo competitions in Beijing are going on and Sheik Mohamed’s daughter, Sheikha Maitha, is there !!! She did her best against two hard opponents and she lose in an honerbale way. I really felt very proud as an Arab to see her well representing the bright face of the open minded gulf young ladies. I am sure that she can do more in her coming participations, moreover, she will be an inspiration to many who really wants to CHANGE the picture of Arabs.
Thank you Sheikha Maitha, well done and please keep on,
Tarek

Many people might think so, even Clinton is pushing toward that hypothesis to gain at least something: being the first female vice president in the history of America. But do you think that ti will work?
For the first time we see that each candidate having a major drawback that makes voters hesitate a lot before choosing. Despite the OBAMANIA and his high charisma, Obama is an African American, Clinton is women. On the other hand, McCain is republican and above 70.
Don’t misunderstand me and judge me as a discriminator or racist but most of us will have the same thinking at least in his mind if he / she have enough courage to say it loud.
Let’s wait and see what coming days will bring. Though I am generally optimistic, I don’t think that this bloody world these days will become better particularly in this part of the world, Middle East, in the near future.
What do you think we can do to make it better?

I was away for a while AGAIN !!! and again I am sorry.
I am a no discipline person or not persistent which turn to be good according to Seth Godin in his great book “Small is the new big”.
I think I discovered that I am a person who needs a certain mood to do things including blogging and dieting.
Yes I need to lose weight but I can’t, I am too involved in work to a degree that hinders me from doing normal daily activities. In other words, I can say very confidently: Entrepreneurship is really HARD. But if you chose the hard way, you need to wear a cerain mind set that occupies all you energy. I am trying to explain, at least to myself, what is going through.
Anyway, my birthday passed quietly this year, as usual. I consumed 38 years of my life already which is, surely much more that what is remaining in it. Do you think this is pessimistic? I think it’s another way to look to it and utilize the remaining of it the best way possible, would I really do so? Never mind, just let me thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday, you made my day my friends.
A final note, I fall on the ground laughing when I red in the news that Kuwait is competing to win the chair of international post association. Funny cause they have almost no postal services over here, most of the mail is lost and no street addresses can be tracked. I wonder how can we PRETEND sometimes.
